Visionary director Guillermo del Toro announced in the year 2009 that he started working on a new stop-motion project. While filming the opening credits from ‘Hellboy II’ he got the idea to make a stop-motion version from the fairytale ‘Pinocchio.’ He will produce it together with the Jim Henson Company. For the art direction the team is working together with illustrator Gris Grimly, which is known for his dark childlike drawings. Gris illustrated a version from ‘Pinocchio’ once en gave the design his own dark twist. Because of the busy schedule of del Toro we have to be patient some more time.
Just a guy from The Netherlands interested in many things. I will be sharing my anticipation and love for different kinds of media on this page. Finally setting up a place for myself to collect and share. And to practise my English :)
